Joan Leach

Joan Leach is currently a Council Member at The Australian National University. Joan previously worked as an Associate Professor at The University of Queensland from May 2004 to December 2016. Prior to that, they were an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh from February 2001 to April 2004. Joan began their career as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London from September 1996 to January 2001.

Joan Leach received a PhD in the Rhetoric of Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Joan also holds a BA Hons in English Literature and a BSc in Biology, both from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
