Kerry Taylor is a Professor of Data Science at The Australian National University, with experience spanning several roles in academia and industry. Currently serving in two capacities at The Australian National University since January 2016, Kerry has also contributed as Chair to the W3C/OGC Spatial Data on the Web Working Group from January 2015 to January 2021, focusing on developing standards for linked data in spatial, temporal, sensor, and remote-sensing domains. Prior positions include Specialist at the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Principal Research Scientist and Team Leader at CSIRO, and Senior Technical Support Analyst at Oxford University Press. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science and Information Technology, and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Computer Science from UNSW.
