Kevin Magee

Kevin Magee is an experienced diplomat and policy expert currently serving as an Adjunct Fellow at the Australia-China Relations Institute, University of Technology Sydney, since March 2024, and as a Policy Fellow at The Australian National University since December 2022. Prior roles include significant positions at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, including Assistant Secretary for various regions such as China and Latin America, and roles that involved leadership in establishing the National Foundation for Australia China Relations. Kevin's diplomatic experience extends to serving as Australian Ambassador in Saudi Arabia and as a representative in Taipei, alongside previous roles in Moscow and Guangzhou. Kevin holds Bachelor's degrees in Law and History from Monash University, completed between 1979 and 1984.
