Kirk McKenzie is a Professor at The Australian National University, serving as a SmartSat CRC Professor at the Centre for Gravitational Astrophysics since May 2019. Previously, Kirk held the position of Instrument Manager at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory from April 2008 to November 2019, where responsibilities included leading the US efforts for the GRACE Follow-On Laser Ranging Interferometer. Additionally, Kirk contributed as an Optical Engineer, focusing on engineering, design, and construction for the LISA and GRACE Follow-On missions. Kirk earned a PhD in Physics from The Australian National University, completing the program from March 2002 to March 2008.
