Kym Anderson

Honorary Professor Of Economics

Kym Anderson serves as Professor Emeritus and Executive Director of the Wine Economics Research Centre at the University of Adelaide, where involvement has spanned from January 1984 to the present. Additionally, Anderson holds the position of Honorary Professor of Economics at the Australian National University since April 2012. Previous roles include Chair of the Board of Trustees at the International Food Policy Research Institute from January 2015 to December 2017 and Lead Economist for Trade Policy at The World Bank from May 2004 to August 2007. Earlier career experience includes working as Counsellor and Deputy Director of Research at the GATT (now WTO) Secretariat from June 1990 to November 1992. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD in Trade and Development Economics from Stanford University, a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, another Master's degree in Economics from the University of Adelaide, and a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of New England.
