Matthew Colless

Matthew Colless is a distinguished academic in the field of astronomy and astrophysics, currently serving as a Distinguished Professor and Director of the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics at The Australian National University since January 2013. Prior to this role, Matthew Colless was the Director of the Australian Astronomical Observatory from January 2004 to December 2012 and held positions as Senior Fellow and Fellow at The Australian National University between January 1993 and December 2003. Matthew Colless earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Cambridge (1983-1986) and a Bachelor of Science (Hons 1) in Physics from the University of Sydney (1979-1982).
