Michelle Young

Michelle Young currently serves as the Director of the Sustainable Farms Initiative at The Australian National University, where responsibilities include the development of strategic plans and the implementation of outreach programs promoting sustainable farming practices. Previous experience encompasses roles such as Assistant Director at the Murray-Darling Basin Authority, focusing on social and economic integration, and as the Executive Officer at the National Institute for Rural and Regional Australia, leading research on rural policy issues. Additional roles include managerial positions in family support services, social science research, and health outcomes evaluation. Michelle holds a Master of Philosophy in Philosophy from The Australian National University and a Master of Sociology from The University of Auckland.
