Mingze Xi

Adjunct Lecturer

Mingze Xi is a Research Scientist at CSIRO's Data61, specializing in the integration of advanced AI into AR/VR/XR and HCI, with a focus on computer vision and deep learning since November 2017. Mingze has also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow, concentrating on situated and immersive analytics for the primary industry sector. In academia, Mingze holds Adjunct Lecturer positions at The Australian National University and the University of Newcastle, and previously contributed as a Casual Academic and Research Assistant at the University of Newcastle, focusing on mRNA/miRNA expression data visualization and machine learning for human immune system research. Previously, Mingze worked as a Computer Programmer at Highway Group Pty Ltd, developing websites with PHP, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, and as a Research Student/Assistant at Qingdao University, where programming and simulation of mechanical systems were key responsibilities. Mingze Xi earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the University of Newcastle and a Master by Research in Computer Science from Durham University.
