Muhammad Farooq

Muhammad Farooq is an HDR student at The Australian National University since December 2023. Prior to this, Muhammad served as a Scientific Officer at Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad, from July 2012 to January 2024, focusing on the management of insect pests in field and fruit crops. Muhammad held the position of Quality Assurance Manager at Cotton Research Station from May 2017 to October 2018, overseeing laboratory operations in an ISO-17025:2005 accredited environment. Earlier experience includes working as an Area Development Manager at Suncrop Pesticides in 2011, providing advisory services and training to farmers and field staff, as well as tutoring science subjects to O-level and A-level students from 2005 to 2010. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Agricultural Entomology and a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, along with earlier studies in Pre-Medical Studies and Science.
