Nick Barnes is a Professor at The Australian National University, where full-time employment began in October 2019. Prior to this role, Nick served as an Associate Professor and Adjunct Associate Professor at Data61@CSIRO from July 2016 to October 2019, leading projects in Computer Vision with notable collaborations, including Bionic Vision Australia, Boeing, and Zongmu. Nick's earlier experience includes positions as Executive Research Group Leader at NICTA from October 2003 to June 2016, Lecturer at the University of Melbourne from July 1999 to September 2003, and a Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Genoa in early 1999.
