Paul Elton

Paul Elton is a PhD candidate at The Australian National University, focusing on achieving the goals of the Global Biodiversity Framework in Australia. In addition to academic pursuits, Paul serves as a Non-Executive Director for both NatureCo and Greening Australia, and acts as a Senior Adviser for the Biodiversity Council. Previously, Paul was the Chief Executive Officer of the Biodiversity Conservation Trust, where leadership contributed to a respected organization, overseeing significant conservation agreements and investments. Paul has held various influential roles in policy development, including Executive Director at the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage, and has extensive experience in natural resource policy within government departments. Paul holds a Master of Engineering Science and a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from UNSW.
