Paul Fitzgerald is a distinguished academic and clinical leader in the field of psychiatry, currently serving as Head of the School of Medicine and Psychology at The Australian National University since May 2022, while also contributing as a Non-Executive Director at The United Project from August 2020. Fitzgerald founded Monarch Mental Health Group and TMS Clinics Australia in January 2017, and previously established TMS Australia, serving in that capacity until May 2022. Fitzgerald held a Professorship at Epworth and Epworth HealthCare from February 2017 until May 2022, and prior to that was a Professor of Psychiatry and Deputy Director at the Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre (MAPrc) from March 2002 to May 2022, where Fitzgerald led research on novel brain stimulation techniques for the treatment of mental health disorders.
