Quentin Grafton is a distinguished Professor of Economics and Laureate Fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University, since May 2004. Serving as the Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair in Water Economics and Transboundary Water Governance since 2010, Grafton has made significant contributions to the field. Prior to this role, Grafton was the Executive Director and Chief Economist at the Bureau of Resources and Energy Economics from August 2011 to July 2013, where leadership contributed to establishing the Bureau as Australia's premier agency for economic and statistical analysis in non-renewable resources and energy. Earlier experience includes serving as the Director of the uOttawa Institute of the Environment from 1999 to 2001, where Grafton coordinated environmental research and education, as well as engaged with government advisories on environmental issues. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Economics from The University of British Columbia and a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Iowa State University.
