Robert Sparrow is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in development economics and social studies. Serving as an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at Wageningen University & Research since January 2016, as well as an Associate Professor at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam, Robert has demonstrated a commitment to interdisciplinary research and education. Previous roles include Honorary Fellow and Fellow at the Australian National University, alongside a tenure as Assistant Professor at the ISS from July 2005 to January 2012. Robert holds a Ph.D. in Development Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, complemented by an M.Phil. in Economics from the Tinbergen Institute and an M.A. in Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
