Ros Smith

Ros Smith is a distinguished academic currently serving as a Professor of English at The Australian National University since February 2020. With an extensive tenure at the University of Newcastle from 1996, Ros has held various significant roles including Acting Pro Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, Director of the Centre for 21st Century Humanities, and Assistant Dean for Research and Research Training. Renowned for expertise in early modern women's writing, Ros co-founded the Early Modern Women’s Research Network in 2008, greatly advancing the field within the Australian academic community.
