Ruth O'Connor

Ruth O'Connor is a Research Fellow at The Australian National University, specializing in community engagement and collaboration with industry partners at the ANU Crawford School of Public Policy since January 2016. Previously, Ruth held various roles, including Knowledge Exchange Specialist and PhD Candidate, focusing on frameworks for evaluating public engagement in science. Prior consulting experience includes work at Otium Consulting, where management plans for Indigenous lands and biological surveys were developed. Additional roles held include Professional Officer at the Queensland Department of Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts, Knowledge & Adoption Coordinator at Griffith University, Knowledge Broker at CRC for Freshwater Ecology, Research Associate at Charles Darwin University, Professional Officer at The Environmental Research Institute of the Supervising Scientist, and Scientific Officer at Sydney Water. Ruth O'Connor obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Science Communication from the Centre for the Public Awareness of Science and a Master of Applied Science in Natural Resource Management from the University of Canberra.
