Sean Downes

Sean Downes has extensive experience in research funding and development within higher education institutions in Australia. Currently serving as Deputy Manager of Research Funding and Development at The Australian National University since January 2017, Sean has held various roles in research services, including Senior Research Services Co-ordinator and Business Development Manager. Prior experience includes a position as Senior Research Development Officer at the University of Canberra and several key roles at The Australian National University from 2001 to 2016, encompassing research development coordination and project management. Additionally, Sean was the Manager of the National Office for the Australian Greens from 2005 to 2007.
