Simon Clews

Simon Clews is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in academic communication and event management. Currently serving as a Learning Advisor at The Australian National University since October 2022, Simon previously held the position of Honorary Senior Fellow at the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity at the University of Melbourne from January 2020 to August 2022. Simon also directed the Melbourne Engagement Lab at Melbourne University from September 2005 to January 2020, focusing on instructing academics in effective communication with non-academic audiences. Additionally, Simon directed the Melbourne Writers Festival from February 1992 to September 2005, overseeing one of Australia's most prominent literary events during its peak. Simon's educational background includes studies at Leeds University, Trent Polytechnic, VCA, and Deakin University.
