Simon Corden

Simon Corden is a doctoral student at The Australian National University, focusing on regulatory practices stemming from independent government reviews. With extensive experience as an independent contractor and consultant, Simon has contributed to significant initiatives such as the Social Services Regulation Reform Taskforce for the Victorian Government. Previous roles include Commissioner at the Essential Services Commission and Director at KPMG Australia, where Simon provided economic and policy expertise. Simon has also engaged with the National Regulators' Community of Practice and served in various capacities, including as Chief Economic Policy Advisor in the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet. Educational qualifications include an M.Sc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from Monash University.
