Somali Cerise

Somali Cerise is an accomplished academic and consultant with extensive experience in gender equality and human rights issues. Currently, Somali Cerise serves as an Honorary Associate Professor at The Australian National University, affiliated with the College of Asia and the Pacific and the Gender Institute since June 2023. As the Principal of Somali Cerise Consulting since October 2016, Somali Cerise leads engagements with clients, including CEOs and senior leadership teams, through the development of inquiry frameworks and data collection strategies, and the production of comprehensive reports. Previous roles include Director for the independent review of Commonwealth parliamentary workplaces at the Australian Human Rights Commission, Research Specialist at UN Women, and Gender Programme Coordinator at the OECD, among others. Somali Cerise holds a Master of Science in Human Rights, Gender and Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Inquiry from the University of Technology Sydney.
