Thomas Cochrane

Thomas Cochrane is currently a Higher Degree by Research candidate pursuing a PhD at The Australian National University, focusing on the compressible supersonic mixing layer in an ejector, which involves both experimental and modeling tasks. Previously, Thomas has held various engineering roles, including a Mechanical Engineer position at Gemini Transmissions Ltd, where transmissions for motorsport applications were designed and manufactured. Experience also includes research and development of thermally-powered compressor technology as a Research Officer at The Australian National University, as well as contributions to renewable energy technologies while working for Endless Solar and Armada Solar. Thomas holds a Master's Degree in Motorsport Engineering and Management from Cranfield University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanics and Materials from The Australian National University.
