Max Pumperla

Max Pumperla has had several roles throughout their work experience. Max is currently a Software Engineer at Anyscale since December 2021. Before that, they were a Data Science Professor at IU Internationale Hochschule starting in September 2020. From May 2020 to December 2021, they worked at Pathmind as the Head of Product Research. Prior to that, they were a Deep Learning Engineer at Skymind.ai from August 2017 to April 2020. Max has also held positions such as Head of Data Science and System Owner Data Science at collectAI from July 2016 to July 2017, and Senior Data Scientist & Engineer at Liquid Labs GmbH from June 2016 to July 2017. Before these roles, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at NumberFour AG from February 2015 to June 2016, a Senior Data Scientist at emetriq GmbH from July 2013 to January 2015, and as a Senior Analyst and Quantitative Analyst at Deutsche Bank from September 2011 to June 2013.

Max Pumperla received their Diploma in Mathematics and Computer Science from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau in 2007. Max then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics at the University of Hamburg, which they completed in 2011.
