Simran Mhatre

Simran Mhatre has a diverse work experience in the field of product design and user experience. They currently work as a Product Designer at Anyscale since December 2022. Prior to this, they gained internship experience at Meta as a Product Design Intern from May 2022 to August 2022, and at Sezzle as a Product Design Intern from January 2022 to May 2022.

Simran also served as a UX Designer at Indiana University Bloomington from May 2021 to May 2022, where they redesigned NASA JPL's Geogateway and improved the usability of a science gateway for scientists to access high-performance computing resources.

They were a User Experience Designer at Mutterfly from June 2020 to December 2020, where they successfully redesigned the company's website, resulting in increased revenue, reduced bounce rate, and a significant increase in customers.

Simran started their professional journey as a Product Designer at Prodio DesignWorks from June 2019 to May 2020. Here, they led the design of various products and websites, collaborated with clients, and presented design ideas. Lastly, Simran held a Service Validation Internship position at Reliance Jio Digital Services Private Limited from June 2018 to July 2018.

Simran Mhatre completed their Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction at Indiana University Bloomington from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavans Sardar Patel Institute of Technology Munshi Nagar Andheri Mumbai from 2015 to 2019. Simran completed their HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) in Science at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Associations Sathaye College from 2013 to 2015. Simran's early education took place at Dr. NP Shah English Medium School where they completed their SSC (Secondary School Certificate) from 2001 to 2013. Additionally, they have acquired a number of certifications including "Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research" from CITI Program in July 2021, "Information Design," "Design Principles: an Introduction," "Human-Centered Design: an Introduction," "Input and Interaction," and "Social Computing" from Coursera in 2020, and "Information Visualization" and "Become a UX Designer from scratch" from The Interaction Design Foundation in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
