Catherine Birch

Catherine Birch currently serves as a Senior Economist at ANZ, a position held since April 2019, which includes a role in Sustainable Finance. Prior to this, Catherine worked at the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources from December 2016 to April 2019, initially as a Policy Adviser - Economist and later as a Senior Policy Adviser - Economist. Catherine's experience also includes roles as an Economist at the Namibia Nature Foundation and the Ministry of Environment and Tourism in Namibia from October 2015 to November 2016. Earlier in the career, Catherine worked at BIS Shrapnel as an Economic Analyst and Research Assistant from February 2012 to September 2015. Educational qualifications include a Master of International and Development Economics from The Australian National University (2014-2015) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance from Deakin University (2008-2010).
