John Buckland

John Buckland is a seasoned professional in data analytics and engineering with extensive experience in the finance and education sectors. Currently serving as the Chapter Lead for Data Analytics & Engineering in the Pricing Centre of Excellence at ANZ since June 2018, John also contributes to the University of Newcastle's Mathematics & Data Science External Advisory Group, guiding key academic programs including the Master of Data Science and Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours). Previously, John held the position of Associate Director at KPMG and served in multiple roles at ANZ, including Director of FX & Commodities Structuring and Quantitative Structurer. John began an academic career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian National University. John holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science with Honours from Monash University.
