Laura Deery

Laura Deery currently serves as the Non Financial Risk Solution Lead at ANZ since January 2023. Previously, Laura took a career break from July 2021 to January 2023 and held various senior roles at ANZ from August 2009 to July 2021. These roles included Head of Assurance for the Business Owners Portfolio, where Laura led a team in enhancing risk and controls, and Assurance Management Expert, focusing on retail distribution and home loan products during a divisional transformation. Laura has extensive experience in managing operations and regulatory compliance, exemplified by leadership positions such as Senior Manager for Global Risk Initiatives and Acting Head of Group Payments Control Desk. Laura's career commenced as a Trainee Chartered Accountant at Kingston Smith, where the ICAEW qualification was attained after completing audits and account preparations. Education was obtained at the University of Oxford.
