Michael Thilmany

Michael Thilmany is the Head of U.S. Private Placements at ANZ, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they held significant roles at ING, HSBC, and Lehman Brothers, where they were instrumental in developing leading private placement franchises and executing over $24 billion in transactions. Michael also served as Associate Director at Barclays Bank, contributing to the establishment of international private placements as a vital asset class. They are currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Finance at New York University and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in International Economics from Georgetown University.
