Shelley Cable

Head of First Nations Strategy, Australia

Shelley Cable is a Nyoongar individual born and raised in Perth, WA, who is passionate about empowering Indigenous Australians through economic and financial initiatives. Currently, Shelley serves as the Head of First Nations Strategy at ANZ and is a board member at Jawun, while also being an Advisory Board Member for the Noongar Charitable Trust. Previously, Shelley held the position of Director of Generation One at the Minderoo Foundation, where the focus was on achieving First Nations employment parity. Shelley’s contributions have been recognized nationally, including involvement with the Australian Government’s Women’s Economic Equality Taskforce and presenting to the United Nations on Indigenous Peoples' financial literacy rights. Shelley holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University and has completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
