Simon Ireland

Simon Ireland is an accomplished banking professional with over 30 years of experience in international banking and financial services, including more than 20 years in Asia. Currently, Simon serves as the Head of ANZ International, overseeing the bank's strategy across 18 countries and achieving record returns while leading a team of over 4,200 staff. Additionally, Simon holds the positions of Chairman of ANZ China and Chairman of ANZ Europe. With a strong background in complex credit and operational risk management, Simon has restructured operations in multiple countries, significantly improving return on equity and revenue. Simon's educational pursuits include being a member of the Australian Institute of Directors and the Hong Kong Institute of Directors, as well as completing a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago and a digital transformation program at MIT.
