Arnoud Lagendijk is a Board Member at AOb, serving in multiple roles including Penningmeester and member of the Sectorbestuur and sectoraad WO&O since 2021. Previously, Arnoud was a Research Fellow at Newcastle University, coordinating European projects on clusters and human capital development from 1993 to 1997. They also held various editorial positions with the Regional Studies Association from 1997 to 2009 and served on the Provinciale Raad for the Environmental Policy of Gelderland from 2016 to 2021. Arnoud’s academic career includes being a Professor in Economic Geography at Radboud University Nijmegen from 1998 to 2012 and a PhD researcher at Erasmus University Rotterdam focusing on the automotive industry in Spain. Arnoud studied Economic and Regional Geography at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, graduating in 1989.
