Iris Offermans

Iris Offermans has extensive experience in education and union consultancy, serving as the Chair of the group of union consultants at AOb since August 2021, where responsibilities include leading meetings, recruiting new consultants, and developing training programs. As a union consultant, advice is provided on various legal matters affecting education sector members. Additionally, Iris has been a chemistry teacher at Stichting LVO since August 1998 and held mentoring roles in upper secondary education. Other notable positions include Chair of the underwater sports association OWSV de Poolduikers, a deputy member of the FNV members' parliament, and a member of the ABP accountability body. Iris holds a first-degree teaching qualification in chemistry from Fontys University of Applied Sciences and has completed further qualifications in educational leadership.
