Simone Penders has extensive experience in education and advocacy, currently serving as the vice-chairwoman of the worker council at ROC van Amsterdam since September 2023, after joining the council in 2019 as a member and chairwoman of their district's council. With a background in teaching social skills within the PACT team, which focuses on nurturing the artistic talents of students in theater, dance, music, and music production, Simone has also held roles as a mentor and project coordinator. Additional positions include serving as the secretary of the vocational sector board in the AOb union since August 2021 and various roles in customer service and drama therapy. Simone holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Education in citizenship skills and a Bachelor of Applied Science in drama therapy, along with ongoing education in civic citizenship through Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
