Ian Griffiths

Ian Griffiths is a seasoned professional in the energy sector with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Risk Engineer at Aon since September 2025, Ian previously held multiple leadership roles at Centrica from September 2022, including Head of Large Asset Operations and Head of Operations at Centrica Energy Assets. Ian's career at Centrica Energy began in January 1998, progressing from Deputy Head of Peaking Plant, where responsibilities included leading technical management for multiple assets, to Power Station Manager and various operational and maintenance roles. Earlier experience includes working as an Ops Tech at Barking Reach Power Station and a Mechanical Artificer in the Royal Navy, complemented by a BSc Hons in Mechanical Engineering from The Open University obtained between 1993 and 1998.
