John Hughes

John Hughes is an accomplished risk management professional with extensive experience in the insurance industry, currently serving as VP Risk Management at Aon since August 2021. Previously, John held VP Property and Casualty roles at USI Insurance Services and Hub International, where expertise in analytics and best practices was leveraged to deliver measurable cost savings and coverage enhancements for clients in various sectors including real estate, construction, healthcare, and technology. In addition to corporate roles, John contributed to the Big Shoulders Fund as a member of the Chairman's Advisory Council, supporting educational initiatives in Chicago. Additional experience includes positions as a Risk Consultant at Brown & Brown and roles in automation consulting at McKesson Provider Technologies and Beckman Coulter, focusing on improving patient outcomes and operational efficiencies. John holds a Master’s degree in Risk Management from Brown & Brown University and a Bachelor's degree in Business and Political Science from Western Michigan University.
