Samuel Thomas

Samuel Thomas, PhD, ASA, is a Senior Director of US Reinsurance Catastrophe Analytics at Aon, leveraging advanced analytics and AI to drive cyber risk insights. They have over 18 years of experience in data analysis, engineering, and project management, having worked across industries including financial services, health insurance, and manufacturing. Samuel holds a PhD in Biostatistics and an MS in Mathematics from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and is currently pursuing a B.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. Their research interests include Bayesian statistics and statistical computing, and they have contributed significantly to the field through published works and the development of statistical packages in R.
