Benoît Funalot

Benoît Funalot is currently the Head of the Department of Genetics at Hôpital Henri-Mondor, Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, and a Professor of Medical Genetics at Université Paris Est Créteil. They have held the position of Président de la Collégiale de Génétique d'Ile-de-France since 2025. Benoît previously served as a Physician-Scientist at INSERM U.573 - Hôpital Sainte-Anne from 2002 to 2006 and held various academic roles at CHU Limoges from 2008 to 2011. Benoît earned a PhD in human genetics from Université Pierre et Marie Curie and an MD in neurology from Université Paris Sud.
