Mathieu Kerneis is a Professor of Medicine at Sorbonne University and the head of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital, APHP. Previously, Mathieu served as a Research Fellow at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Harvard's PERFUSE study group. Their research centers on acute myocarditis and the relationship between inflammation and cardiovascular diseases, leading the ARAMIS and co-leading the ARGO trials. Mathieu is also guiding the AMPHIBIA registry, a significant prospective cohort study in myocarditis. They earned a Doctor of Medicine degree and a PhD from Université Paris Descartes and Sorbonne Universités, respectively, and are currently pursuing an Habilitation à diriger des recherches at Sorbonne Université.
