Greg McElyea

Greg McElyea has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several decades. Greg began their career in 1983 as a Field Engineer at Hewlett Packard Co. and worked there until 1997. Greg then moved on to Hewlett-Packard as a Custom Solutions Sales Specialist from 1998 to 1999. Greg joined Agilent Technologies in 1999, where they held various sales roles, including Telecom Test and Measurement Sales from 1999 to 2002, Fibre Channel Test Sales Specialist from 2002 to 2006, and Digital Test Sales Specialist from 2006 to 2009.

In 2009, Greg joined AP Sensing GmbH as a Business and Sales Manager, responsible for all business and sales development in North and South America. Greg also managed channel development and consultant management. Greg later transitioned to the role of Americas Sales Manager, where they contributed to the development and manufacturing of optics-based "Distributed Temperature Sensing Systems."

In 2015, Greg became the Managing Director at AP Sensing Americas LP, overseeing all North and South American operations. Their responsibilities included business and sales development, channel development, and managing consultants and AP Sensing sales and support professionals.

Greg's most recent experience includes serving as a Board Member at the Economic Development Corporation of Van Alstyne, Texas, from 2019 to 2020. Greg also worked at McElyea Interests in 2020 before retiring from Test & Measurement Technology Sales & Engineering.

After retiring, Greg focused on enjoying quality time with family and friends, engaging in various recreational activities like biking, walking, boating, fishing, and golf. Greg also took an interest in politics, portfolio management, and real estate management.

Greg McElyea earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University between 1978 and 1983.
