Tom Chong

Tom Chong is a seasoned professional in the field of security and risk management, currently serving as a Senior Consultant in Protective Security at APA Group since May 2023. Prior to this role, Tom held various positions at NAB from November 2018 to May 2023, including Manager of Physical Security Assurance and Senior Business Analyst, contributing to multiple security programs and projects. Tom's expertise encompasses mobile device management, multi-factor authentication, and security policy development, as well as the implementation of innovative projects such as the Superannuation Paperless project. Tom's earlier experience includes a significant tenure at National Australia Bank from February 2011 to December 2016, where responsibilities included operational risk compliance and stakeholder engagement. Tom holds a Bachelor of Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Melbourne, alongside academic foundations established at Melbourne High School.
