Alan Shields is an experienced Instrument Technician with a robust background in instrumentation and process control across various sectors, including oil and gas, nuclear, and maintenance. Currently serving at Apache Corporation since March 2020, Alan is part of the Instrument Maintenance Team on the Forties Alpha Platform, focusing on DCS, ESD, and F&G systems. Previous experience includes a long tenure at Petrofac, where planned and corrective maintenance was performed, alongside leadership roles such as Lead Instrument Technician at PGS, overseeing maintenance teams and decommissioning activities. Earlier roles involved significant responsibilities in nuclear power stations as an Instrument Supervisor with Mitsui Babcock, along with extensive experience in other positions since 1983.
