Ivan Pinzon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Petrophysics Advisor/Lead at Apache Corporation in Cairo, Egypt since August 2022, Ivan supports exploration and development projects. Previously, Ivan was Regional Team Lead at Ecopetrol, overseeing a team of subsurface professionals in the Piedemonte and Llanos Basins, emphasizing energy sustainability. Ivan also held the position of Senior Petrophysics Advisor at Ecopetrol America Inc., contributing to the Mexico Exploration team, and served as Project Manager at AGR, where evaluation of blocks for bidding was a key focus. Ivan's career began at BP, where from 1994 to 2016, leadership in production petrophysics for the Gulf of Mexico Deep Water Resources Team was a highlight. Ivan holds a Master's degree in Geosciences from Texas Tech University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Geology/Earth Science from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
