The ocean doesn't care about your credentials. It asks only that you show up with curiosity, humility, and enough skill to stay safe.

That's the philosophy behind APE.

We are a small team of divers, storytellers, scientists, and dreamers based in Timor-Leste - one of the least explored marine environments on Earth, and one of the most biodiverse reef systems on the planet. We didn't come here to extract or to lead. We came because this place pulled us in, and we stayed because its people and its ocean gave us something we hadn't found anywhere else.

APE works across three divisions - a Divers Academy, an Expeditions platform, and a Scuba Engineering operation. Underneath all of it is something simpler: a belief that the best exploration happens when trust, connection, and genuine curiosity lead the way.

We build bridges between international scientists and local researchers, because the most meaningful discoveries happen when both are in the water together. We invest in sustainable infrastructure so that the work being done here outlasts any individual expedition. We deliver high quality dive training - not just to certify, but to develop divers who will one day know these waters better than anyone.

Timor-Leste's ocean is extraordinary. Most of it remains unknown. We are here to change that - slowly, carefully, and together.
