David Sandoval has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. David began their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at California State University, Fullerton, where they worked from September 2006 to June 2010. David then moved on to the University of California, Santa Barbara, where they served as a Graduate Student Researcher from July 2010 to July 2015. Sandoval joined Apeel in September 2015 as a Senior Formulation Scientist in Process Development, a role they held until October 2017 when they were promoted to Head of Process Development. In April 2021, they were further promoted to Director of Strategic Sourcing - Raw Materials and Contract Services at Apeel.

David Sandoval has a strong educational background in chemistry. David obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from California State University, Fullerton, from 2006 to 2010. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Organic Chemistry at UC Santa Barbara, completing it from 2010 to 2015.
