Steph McGovern

Steph McGovern is the Sector Director of Marine Wildlife Surveys at APEM Ltd, where they oversee the delivery of digital stills aerial surveys for marine wildlife globally. With over 10 years of experience in consultancy, Steph has specialized in offshore wildlife surveys primarily for the renewable energy sector, demonstrating strong skills in stakeholder liaison and engagement. Previously, they held various roles within APEM, including Associate Director and Principal Consultant. Steph earned a Master of Science in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation from Imperial College London and completed a PhD in Environmental and Soil Sciences at the University of Wales, Bangor. Their career began at the Lancashire Wildlife Trust as a Forever Meadow Project Officer.
