Robert Smerek

Robert Smerek is an experienced leader in the metals and alloys industry, currently serving as Vice President of Alloys North America at Aperam since February 2021. Previously, Robert held the position of Business Development Manager for Stainless & Specialty Alloys at Samuel, Son & Co. from May 2019 to February 2021. Robert's extensive career includes roles at Carpenter Technology Corporation, where Robert served as Director of Industrial Market Development and Manager of International Market Development from November 2011 to October 2018. Additionally, Robert was the Director of Commercial Operations at Salit Steel from 2009 to February 2012 and managed Canadian Sales at Carpenter Technology Canada Ltd. from 1994 to 2009. Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Carleton University, obtained between 1984 and 1988.
