Sofie Vantilt

Sofie Vantilt is an accomplished professional in the steel industry with over two decades of experience. Currently serving as Steel Plant Manager at Aperam since March 2010, Sofie has held various roles including Head of Customer Service, Operational Support for the Cold Rolling plant, and Operations Manager overseeing Ladle Treatment, Continuous Caster, and Quality. Prior to joining Aperam, Sofie worked at ArcelorMittal from 2003 to March 2010, where positions included Head of AOD-VOD, Refractories & Quality, and Manager of AOD & VOD. Sofie's career in the industry began at Ugine & ALZ Genk, where an Operational Support role was held from September 2002 to June 2003. Sofie earned a Master of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from KU Leuven from 1997 to 2002.
