Maximilian Benassi has had a varied and impressive career. Maximilian began their professional life in 2002 as a Sales Associate at Ricochet Networks. In 2011, they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Life Technologies. In 2012, they were a Research Assistant at Southern Methodist University, and also a Global Strategy & Market Development at Qualcomm Lif. In 2014, they worked as a Solar Manufacturing Engineer at SOITEC, where they optimized a solar assembly line, resulting in a 14% increase in production. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at SpaceX, where they held various roles, including Senior Propulsion Engineer, Propulsion Machining and Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer, Structures Manufacturing Engineer, and Mechanisms Manufacturing Engineer. In 2021, they were an Investor at Axon Park, and an Engineering Director and Engineering Manager at Astra. Currently, they are the Founder and CTO of Apex Spacecraft Manufacturing.
Maximilian Benassi attended Cathedral Catholic High School from 2006 to 2010. Maximilian then went on to Southern Methodist University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering, Math, and Biology from 2010 to 2014. Maximilian then continued their studies at Southern Methodist University, earning a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering - Thermal Fluid Systems from 2013 to 2015. Most recently, they have been enrolled at the University of Southern California, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
