David Fouse has extensive experience in marketing and communications. David started their career as a Press Officer at Habitat for Humanity International in 1989, where they wrote and edited news releases and served as a spokesperson. David then worked as a Writer/Editor at Bread for the World from 1991 to 1995, where they developed and edited newsletters and publications. From 1997 to 2019, David held various positions at the American Public Health Association, including Director of Marketing and Communications, Director of Communications and Marketing, Director of Communications, and Assistant Director of Communications. In these roles, they managed communications programs, facilitated collaborations, and directed marketing efforts. Currently, David is serving as the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Association of Public Health Laboratories, where they lead a team dedicated to promoting the organization and supporting its members.

David Fouse holds a Bachelor's Degree from Juniata College, which they earned from 1985 to 1989. In 2009, they attended the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, CDC and Public Health Leadership Institute and completed the National Public Health Leadership Institute graduate program in 2010. Moreover, David also obtained a Crisis and Emergency Risk Communications Certificate from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2013.
