Matthew McCarroll

Matthew McCarroll is a Lead Specialist at the Association of Public Health Laboratories since April 2022, focusing on enhancing global testing capacity and data exchange among national public health laboratories. Prior experience includes serving as Chief of Laboratory Operations and Laboratory Operations Analyst for the DC Government's Public Health Laboratory, overseeing laboratory functions, budget management, and workflow processes. Other roles encompass program analysis for the DC Department of Forensic Sciences, where Zika testing services were coordinated, and laboratory coordination for HIV Prevention Trials Network studies. Matthew possesses a Master of Science in Public Health specializing in Microbiology and Infectious Disease from The George Washington University, along with a Master of Science in Environmental Microbiology from West Virginia University.
