Sam Abrams is a Manager of Informatics at the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), responsible for providing programmatic support for preparedness activities, including the Laboratory Response Network and collaborations with the CDC. Previously, Sam held various roles at APHL focusing on public health preparedness and response, as well as serving as a Research Program Coordinator intern at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Sam also has extensive laboratory management experience from their time at USDA-ARS, where they oversaw research operations and personnel. Sam holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland College Park.
